NEW PARENTS TEA 2013

Please diarise the new parents tea for 2013. This tea is for ALL parents that can in some way, be involved in the PTA, even if it’s a VERY small way (like making a meal for a family).

New teachers for 2013

Welcome to the new school year. We hope that all the pupils will be happy and settle in to the routine quickly. Good luck with the homework that will be coming your way.

This year we are lucky enough to have three new teachers join our staff

Mrs Husted (Gr R), Mr McNab (PE), Mrs Bodnarchuk (Gr 5)

and just in case you get lost wandering around the school, here is the latest classroom layouts.

 

2013 starting times

Important change to starting time in 2013: 

As from the first day of term school will start at 7.40am. 

This is in order to accommodate some of the changes the new CAPS Curriculum require.

Albert Drive - One way:
Please can we ask all parents to adhere to the ONE WAY ruling on Albert Drive between 07h00 and 08h00 and 13h00 and 14h00 during the day. This One Way ruling has been introduced for the safety of our children. NO ENTRY from Walter drive between these times!!!

Big Top Field Gate:
The top field gate will be open between 07h00 - 08h00 and 13h00 - 14h00

Senior Prizegiving Photos

The prizegiving photos are up on the website at www.thruthelens.co.za

There are three different galleries, so enter the password, browse and then order your prints.
Passwords as follows: prizegiving1, prizegiving2 or prizegiving3

Please make sure when you purchase your photos that you email Joss Wood a copy of your proof of payment and your postal address.  She will then post you the photos as soon as they are printed.

Grade 0 Christmas concert

The Grade 0s put on their Christmas concert at the end of November.

Outreach Sale

On Friday 26 October 2012 there will be a R5 sale.... bring your pocket money and come and help the Outreach team raise money to help some underprivileged children in Limpopo.

There will be all sorts on sale... yummy things to eat and cool things to make.  All it takes is R5.

Camp Out Time

It's that time of year to come camping again.

For families to relax, children, women & men. 

To pitch tents, bring caravans & do activities galore. 

Braai wors, stalk the lantern, swim & much more. 

We'll sit next to a bonfire, drink hot chocolate, sing a song. 

Be sure not to miss out if you don't come along. 

Tuck shop will be open.
