Easter Egg Collection

The School Outreach team are collecting marshmallow Easter eggs for 14 000 children supported by Africa Food for Thought.  If you want to support, please give your Easter eggs to your class teacher.

School Photos

Remember to order your school photos by 10th March 2014. A letter with instructions was sent out with the newsletter on 19th February.  Log on to www.thruthelens.co.za and then follow the rest of the instructions to order and pay.

Grade R celebrated Valentine's Day with lots of love!

The Grade Rs really got into the feel of Valentine's Day by coming to school dressed in red and white.  There were lots of hearts in the picture too, so what is more fitting that actually forming one too to spread a little love around.

Join us for the Roof Blessing on 1 March 2014 at 16h00.

Remember - all children to be in full school uniform and to be accompanied by an adult (they can't just be dropped off)

Grade R picnic

A few weeks back the Grade Rs held their annual get-to-know-you picnic.  After a lot of rain they were very blessed with a good sunny evening.

Parent Information Evening

There will be a Parent Information Evening next week to let all the parents know what happens in each grade... please take note of time and attend where you need to.

21 January
6-7pm - Grade 1, 2, 3

7-8pm - Grade 5, 6

22 January
6-7pm - Grade R

6-7pm - Grade 4

7-8pm - Grade 7

More details on venue (hall or classroom) will be published on the communicator or in the homework book.

It is very important to attend these sessions as you will be told all the necessary details about workload, tests, etc., plus you get to meet the teachers.

Our school in 2014

As you may have noticed we now have our new building in full use for this new school year.  We are all very excited about the new facilities and look forward to many happy years of use.  To help you find your way around a bit, this post will show you the school layout as well as all our staff and teachers for each grade.
