Grade 5's entertain the Grade R's

Every year the Grade 5's are given the opportunity to dress up and read to the Grade R's. The Grade 5's love the challenge and the Grade R's love to see the characters of the books come to life. What Grade R child would pass up the opportunity to have a story read to them?

Grandparents' Day in Grade R!

There was great excitement in Grade R at NWCS as the grandparents arrived and took their places in the hall to enjoy the programme prepared for them by the Grade R children and teachers. After the performance, the grandparents were invited back to the classrooms to sit with the children while they decorated framed photos of themselves for their grandparents. A sumptuous tea was provided by the PTA and was enjoyed by all.

Grade R celebrated Valentine's Day with lots of love!

The Grade Rs really got into the feel of Valentine's Day by coming to school dressed in red and white.  There were lots of hearts in the picture too, so what is more fitting that actually forming one too to spread a little love around.

A few weeks back the Grade Rs held their annual get-to-know-you picnic.  After a lot of rain they were very blessed with a good sunny evening.

As you may have noticed we now have our new building in full use for this new school year.  We are all very excited about the new facilities and look forward to many happy years of use.  To help you find your way around a bit, this post will show you the school layout as well as all our staff and teachers for each grade.

With all these changes happening, we now have a dedicated school hall... how exciting... no more shuffling of desks and pupils.  It's still a bit cramped but for now it works.
