Examples of what to collect:
Household and kitchen foil
Foil containers (pie, foods, roasting trays, take aways, baking trays, bun trays, pre-baked frozen trays)

Grandparents Day - 26 Feb 2010

An annual event for the Grade Rs is their Grandparents Day... this is where all the Grannies and Grandpas (and a few parents, aunts and uncles) can see what hard work our littlies are doing.  Thankfully there was brilliant blue sky and the morning went off without a hitch.

Afrithon feedback

Our South African "Afrithon" week was a great success.  A big thank you too all the PTA for their hard work in making this a fun event.

On Monday the 22nd  and Wednesday the 24th we were visited by BYRON from De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust.  The pupils got to learn all about Cheetahs and even had the opportunity to touch him.

Friday the 26th was South African civvies day.... this was a huge hit with all the children who made lots of effort to dress appropriately.

Our only disappointment of the week was having to cancel (postpone?) the Picnic Under the Stars due to an evening rain storm.... we will keep you posted on this event.

The children all did well on their Afrithon test and the results should be handed out this week... then it's the task of getting in all the sponsor money.

Have you met the school pet?

This is PENNY the school guinea-pig... please be very gentle with her.  She is loved lots - especially by the Grade 7s.

Scholar Patrol

We strive to keep our children safe so please OBEY the rules of the road and use the zebra crossing to cross the road in front of the school.  Please also obey the scholar patrol - they are here to keep you safe.

The scholar patrol operates each afternoon at 1:30 for about 10 minutes.

Teachers birthdays

We had a busy month of birthdays in February for the teachers.  Here are just some of the class party photos

Mrs McBirnie - 8 Feb

Mrs Ostrom - 16 Feb

Mrs Rundle - 16 Feb

Thanks to all the parents who supplied the photos.
